C’mon, September! That’s when Candlewick Press will release my new picture book, “A Bike Like Sergio’s.” In it, a young boy finds money and has to make a tough decision about what to do with it. The illustrator, Noah Z. Jones (Those Shoes) has created some beautiful artwork for this book.
More pet-related spins to classic fairy tales! Joining “Dogerella” and “Sleeping Bootsie” are “Pupunzel” in July, and “Ivy, the Fairy Dogmother” in September. And there are ideas in the cooker, so stay tuned!
Teachers! Are you interested in using “Those Shoes” in the classroom? Well, we have a sparkly, new Teachers’ Guide for you, complete with Common Core Connections. Try it out, and let us know what you think!
